brainmates- 7th anniversary eMuse!
Oh how we’ve grown! In this edition of brainmates’ eMuse we celebrate our 7th birthday as product managment consulting and training organisation. That’s right, brainmates has been providing Product Management solutions to outstanding clients from media, financial services, bio-medical, education, government and retailer for 7 fantastic years.
During that time we’ve been collaborating with the Australian and global Product Management community through our blog, Product Camps, Product Talks and our weekly Twitter chat. To celebrate, we have a bumper edition planned with a fiery topic on the role of Product Management, we pimp out your stakeholder management tool kit, give some sound advice to retailers and take a walk down memory lane with brainmates founders Adrienne Tan and Nick Coster! So let’s get the Product Management party started shall we?
Adrienne Tan has stoked the fires of debate asking one simple question: As Product Managers, Are We Kidding Ourselves? Taking the bull by the horns and examining how and why Product Managers often find themselves needing to defend their role, Adrienne asks whether we should accept that Product Management is a tactical activity. Join the debate here!
Esther Ham takes you for a road test of some of the Practical Tools for Stakeholder Management available. Whether dealing with an opponent or a supporter, these tools could prove very powerful when added to your strategy arsenal. Pimp up your tool box here!
Any clever Product Manager knows servicing the needs of the the buyer, retailer and supplier at retail level can be a tricky value equation to master. brainmates brings you five simple yet powerful techniques on how to choose What Products Should Be On Your Shelves?
Adrienne shares her passion for Business Cases, delves into the world of Product Management storytelling, spills the beans on how brainmates came into fruition all those years ago and shares her dreams for a brainmates future. You can catch her on the brainmates couch here.
Nick takes us through his accidental arrival in the world of Product Management, through his journey from a Technical Trainer to a passionate Product Manager and what advice he would give to the Product Manager he was 7 years ago. You can catch him on the brainmates couch here.
