Bright eyed and bushy tailed Product Managers joined us at the gorgeous Gaffa Gallery for our last Product Talk for the year and second annual Product Bash, with thanks to our event sponsor Nine Rewards. The event was entitled ‘The Internet Super Mall and the Future of Retail’. Our panel discussion with Mark Rowland of Styletread, Andrew Rechtman of PayPal and Daniel Roberts of Woolworths saw an hour of truly interesting content on the challenges and exciting developments for Product Managers, with the growth of mobile commerce and the increasing popularity of online retail this year.

Retail Survey: A fresh perspective from brainmates

In partnership with Nine Rewards, brainmates has conducted a nation-wide survey of over one thousand Australian consumers to uncover the key issues and attitudes that are driving their purchase decisions. The results of the survey are outlined in a brainmates white paper – a must read for product managers seeking to better understand the mindset of today’s consumer and deliver ‘valuable’ end to end product experiences.

For those specifically working in the retail industry, this research provides insights that will answer the burning question of the moment – what aspects of retailing are failing to deliver on this end to end product experience. Agile Conference in Review

Taking an in-depth look at Agile usage in the Australian Product Management sector, the Agile 2011 Conference saw key talks from SEEK, Jetstar, the REA Group and Lonely Planet on the application and usage of Agile. For developers and Product Owners, Agile has become an important tool in all phases of product creation.
