La Maison web copy and communications strategy
Web copy is one of the mainstays of the Unashamedly Creative offerings. The use of marketing strategy with writing skills makes it an ideal pursuit for a freelancer with a marketing background.
Often this work is done in concert with web developers who also freelance in the field. This means that clients can benefit from my web copy skills while also enjoying the abilities of freelance web developers. It’s cheaper than an agency and often much more fluid and dynamic in approach.
One such project was the La Maison web copy and communications strategy.
La Maison Sydney, makers and retailers in eclectic furniture and homewares, was looking for a completely new online solution. Unashamedly Creative was brought in to assist with the voice development, website copy, and to assess the social media marketing. The web design and photography was completed by Bright Spark Creative.
1) To create fresh website copy that was SEO friendly without losing the beauty and personality of the La Maison range or the lead designer and owner, Jo Lebrocque.
2) To support La Maison’s desire to grow as a preferred supplier to retail furniture stockists through strategy and advice for communications, blogging and social media.

a) SEO friendly website copy that reflected both Jo’s and the company’s personality
b) A complete review of all current social media and blogging assets
c) A foundation plan for blogging, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest
d) Suggestions on how to create a better process of capturing consumer feedback for testimonial creation
e) Suggested organic PR activities
LaMaison’s web copy and communications strategy was delivered on schedule and to specification. The web copy itself works well to sell the La Maison product as well as capture the essence of the founder’s personality.
